The park boasts a 6-acre lake perfect for fishing, and four scenic trails that wind through the park, each one with benches for taking a load off. Picnic tables are nestled in the shade of trees throughout the park, making it a great spot for a family outing.
Camping is a big draw at Wallace State Park, with options for everyone from families to those seeking more seclusion. The park offers basic and electric campsites, as well as walk-in campsites for those who want a little more privacy. There’s even a special-use camping area for group events. Playground equipment can be found near campgrounds 2 and 4, making it a great spot for families with kids.

During the off-season, potable water is available at the frost-free spigot near the dump station, and firewood is sold upon request. Campgrounds 3 and 4 are closed during the off-season. And remember, camping is limited to any 15 days within a 30-consecutive-day period at any one park or historic site.
The park gates close at 9 p.m. during the on-season and at sunset during the off-season, so be sure to arrive before then to ensure access to the park. In addition to the regular campground, there is also a special-use camping area available for group events.
