Longview Lake Campground

Longview Lake Campground is a hidden gem in the heart of Missouri. Surrounded by towering trees and nestled next to the peaceful Longview Lake, this campground offers the perfect getaway for families and nature enthusiasts alike. With 88 campsites to choose from, including 17 full hook-ups, 59 electrical sites, and 12 tent sites, there’s something for everyone here.

The campground is a nature lover’s paradise, with access to fishing, boating, beaches, biking/walking trails and even a nearby golf course. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a first-time camper, Longview Lake Campground is the perfect place to pitch your tent and make memories that will last a lifetime.

The campground is open from April 1st to September 30th and is staffed by friendly attendants who are always happy to help. Amenities include fire grills, picnic tables, playgrounds, restrooms, and showers.

Longview Lake is a 930-acre oasis, just minutes from south Kansas City. Enjoy a day of power boating, water skiing, jet skiing or a relaxing pontoon boat ride. Take a dip in the lake or sunbathe on the beach. The marina offers boat rentals, concessions, marine supplies, lakeside gasoline pumps, tackle, bait and overnight and annual slip rental.

Fishing is a popular activity at Longview Lake, where you can catch Bluegill, Carp, Channel Cat, Largemouth Bass, Walleye, and Crappie. The lake also plays host to many of Jackson County Parks + Rec’s special events.

The Longview Lake Park area also features a 1-acre beach, 14 picnic shelters, campgrounds, Frank White Jr. Softball Complex, Fred Arbanas Golf Course, Longview Lake Horse Park and water sports. Stand Up Paddle Boards are not permitted on Longview Lake, but windsurfing is permitted Monday thru Thursday from sunrise to sunset and operators must wear a Type I, II or III Personal Flotation Device as approved by U.S. Coast Guard. Wet suits are required for operators and passengers from October 1 through May 15th for windsurfers and personal watercraft.
